Via JoAnn Peritz:

Has anyone noticed the beautiful flowers that “magically” appeared on Horatio St? Thanks to Marjorie Colt, who organized the whole thing, we now have flowers planted in most of the tree pits on our street. On May 13th, a few hearty souls dragged peat and flowers up and down the street and planted our hearts out. It was a lot of work, but the return is the beauty that we see every day. Many of our neighbors, who didn’t know about the planting day, said they wanted to be more involved and asked to be added to the mailing list. I also heard many “thank-yous” as I was planting. It was so rewarding to meet neighbors and to create something so lovely. Thanks also goes to Theo, a great young neighbor ,who helped plant and water and entertain!
